Our goal was to help bring Royal Caribbean into the 21st century by redesigning it's mobile app for use on board their ships. When we started, they had 4 mobile apps that were difficult to use and extremely unreliable. We wanted to combine them into one cohesive app that let users plan ahead for their cruise, view activities, book excursions and shows and make reservations.
While designing this new app, it was important for us to remember that our users were on vacation! It had to be a fun experience that did not feel like work so that they could quickly find an activity to do and get back to what matters most - their trip!
Our team at Philosophie worked on a Virtual Concierge chatbot concept for Royal Caribbean that would allow cruisers to do find restaurants, book excursions, even order a drink and have it delivered to wherever you are on the ship!
